Latest Q & AHave just finished rading the third of you books to keep me turning pages right till the very end. And then felt sad I'd finished it! I'm intrigued by your interest in Modigliani - what inspired it and why are the works so important to you? My interest in Modigliani came from a visit to the Simon Norton gallery in Pasadena where Modigliani's portrait of his wife hangs. Also, from reading The Magus. Hi Susan! I read your novel 'Dance While You Can' last year and I just wanted to let you know how much I loved it; I still think about the characters! I would very much like to read more novels like this but I'm not really sure what genre I should be searching for. Better still, are you planning on writing more novels like this? I also loved reading 'A French Affair' and 'The Mill House'. It's just such a pleasure to read the wonderful novels you write, not only when you crave a bit of excitement but also when life is difficult and you need escapism. So thrilled to hear how much you enjoy my books. Lovely that Dance While You Can meant so much to you. There isn't a specific genre, as such, just women's fiction. It's always a bit hit and miss when you buy a book, so I'm especially delighted that you've enjoyed The Mill House and A French Affair too. I don't have a question, just want to praise you on your fantastic books. The first one I read was Obsession, as the first chapter was in a magazine, and I was so enthralled that I went straight out and brought the book. I then brought all the books before that one, and then wait for the next, which I get as soon as they are available. I have read every single book and thought they were all fabulous. Keep them coming. Thanks going to do my very best to keep them coming. Thank you. Hugely appreciated. I would like to know the list of you books in order that they were written, and do any of them follow on from one another. I have read 10 of your books so far,and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. You can see the order of publication on the "Books" page of this website. Those that follow on are Chasing Dreams and Taking Chances. Then there is a quartet which goes Silent Truths, Wicked Beauty, Intimate Strangers, The Hornbeam Tree. Hope that helps Im absolutely hooked on your books and I want to read every single one of them. My question is how many books have you actually written and are you planning on writing any more in the future? To date I have written 25 books, the most recent being Forgotten. If you go to the home page on this site and click on books you'll find them all listed. Yes, there are certainly more to come. Hi, I've just recently read 'Stolen Begginings' and needed to share the splendor that is you and your stories with someone..anyone! It's an insult that people don't know of you and your books! This is not a question just a comment have just finished reading "Just One More Day" absolutely brilliant it mus have been very hard for you to write. My Mum died of a brain tumour in 1992 and I've had breast cancer and am recovering so it made it all the more poignant! Have read most of your novels am about to start "Out of the Shadows" loking forward to it! One question did you go to the "Posh School" Red Maids School for Girls? I'm very sorry to hear about your mum, and that you have had your own struggle with cancer. Thank goodness you are recovering now and I hope it will be full and speedy. To answer your question, yes I did go to Red Maids, but ended up being expelled a couple of years later. My poor dad! Are you the Susan Lewis that went to Drama Centre London? No, not me. I loved the series of books you did too and would love to know if you have plans to make another series like it? I wanted to also say a big thank you for your books and providing another world to get completely lost in. Delighted that you enjoyed A French Affair so much. It's one of my personal favourites. No plans at the moment to write another series, but you never know, anything's possible. I don't have a question, but want to say how much I love reading your books. The very first one I read was "Dance while you can" and I got it free with a magazine a few years ago, I was hooked. I left it about a year and decided to read it again, I enjoyed it the second time round just as much as the first. i started to buy more of your books and each time I've read them I never thought that the next one would be as good as the last, but they were! I've read nine so far in the last 12 months. I feel like I'm in the story when I read them, the romance, the passion. These stories are what women dream of. I love loosing myself in them, I go into another world. I have no idea how many books you have written, but I intend to make sure I read everyone of them. I do actually have one question; One of your books that I reading was "Chasing Dreams" which was fantastic, I then bought one of your books from a charity shop while I was still reading "Chasing Dreams" called "Taking Chances" which I relised was a follow on from "Chasing Dreams". Is there any of your other novels a follow on from another novel? I would hate to find out that I read them the wrong way round. So thrilled to know that you enjoy my books so much. There is a series of books: Silent Truths; Wicked Beauty; Intimate Strangers; The Hornbeam Tree. Really hope you enjoy them just as much. Click here to ask a question. |
