Dear Susan, I've read several of your books & thoroughly enjoyed them. Before my husband & I left Bristol to live in Spain, we were friendly with an elderly man called Maurice who said he was your uncle & who said he would intoduce me to you when you were next in Bristol. Unfortunatly we moved here & he died soon after so I never did get to meet you. Anyway, keep up the good work of entertaining, your books are very popular over here.

Thank you so much for this.  I'm sorry we didn't get to meet, but I hope you're really enjoying living in Spain.  A beautiful country with a darned sight better weather than here, that's for sure.  Thank you also for your very kind words about my books.  I sincerely hope you continue to enjoy them.

I just wanted to tell you how very much I am enjoying your books. I am 60 and after a wonderful relationship with a man 14 years my senior when I was 20, which my parents resisted until they broke me, I married on the rebound to a good man but he's totally boring and unromantic. I live my life through books and I am very very grateful for the enjoyment and excitement you have given me.

I hardly know what to say to such a heartrending and lovely message.  Thrilled as I am to know that you enjoy my books (how could I ask for more!) I'd love to think that you were enjoying some romance yourself.  We're not so far apart in age and it's only  just happened for me, so I'm going to hope that any time now it will happen for you - maybe with your husband!  Who knows?

ive read all your books susan, i'm surprised the ink has even dried by the time i get them home, i love them all, but i definately prefer all your earlier books, the excitement and thrills that kept me turning page after page and kept me up half the night until i'd read every word, although i still really enjoyed the last 5 or 6 books, just not as much as the first 10 or so i read, saying that i will still be one of the first to buy stolen.. best wishes susan from sharon x

What a joy it is to hear from someone who enjoys my earlier books so much.  It's fantastic to know that,  thank you so much for telling me.  Even better is to know that the slight change in emphasis hasn't put you off buying the new ones.  I really appreciate you being in touch, and please let me know what you think of Stolen when it finally comes out.

Hi its me i asked the question about the amount of 'romance' in your latest books and I definately dont think you are wrong there is a time for when it is best used, im just a complete romantic and i suppose since i discovered your books when i was 15 the passion that was in them has always stuck with me and in a way i miss it?! i love your books so much xx

I'm so glad we're in agreement - and so thrilled that you love my books so much that  I could hug you!!

hi i adore your books and the style in which you write them,i feel when a read a certain sentence i can identify to the description you use,i have read all your books my first Dance while you can up to your latest book Forgotten but my favourite book has to be Darkest Longings,my question is your books have changed in that their is not as much....romance for use of a better word?

Thank you for your lovely words and for such fantastic support.  You're right, the books have changed in the "romance" respect and that's probably because the subject matter doesn't allow for so much explicit detail.   For example it would have been totally wrong in Missing, or A French Affair and I think we're moving into an era where less really is more.  Do you think I'm wrong?

I can't believe i have just found your books, they are brilliant have read 3 since last week, and have bought 2 more today.you are now one of my favorite Authors.

I can't believe that you love them so much, but I'm THRILLED.

myself, my family , my friends, and my doctor, all avid readers and looking forward to next book, thank you for the pleasure of reading your works.

And I thank you all for such a lovely message - and for your hugely valued support.

Please can you tell me in which order the Laurie Forbes series go. I read the Hornbeam tree first!!! Then I realised it was part of a series. Please can you point me in the right direction. I love your books and desperatley want to read them in the correct order.

The series runs:  Silent Truths; Wicked Beauty; Intimate Strangers; The Hornbeam Tree.  I'm really sorry this isn't clearer on the books.  I believe it's all to do with marketing, that they feel a book won't sell as well if it's flagged up as part of a series.

Not really a question, apart from when is your next book out? Your books are brilliant just the right amount of everything. I am so disappointed now because I have read them all, Thank you so much and please please keep writing. Kind regards Avril .

The next book - Stolen - is due to be published in March of 2011.  Going to do my very best to keep writing - as long as you keep reading!!

Hi Susan, I have read every single one of your books and am currently reading forgotten. I absolutely admire you as an author, brilliant! When will your next book be out please?

Great that you enjoy my books so much.  So inspiring.   The next one is titled Stolen and is due to be published in March 2011.
